Fun with English

  I am İlknur Doğan. I have been teaching English for 18 years. I love English very much since primary school and I enjoy teaching English, singing with children, making theatre, teaching while playing outside, in short, everything about English. This year I am doing 2 eTwinning projects with foreign partners for the first time. It was a tiring but worthwhile project in which I gained valuable contributions in English. While fulfilling our duties, we both had a lot of fun and learned a lot. We worked with devotion with 2 of my project friends at my school. I was very happy to get to know my foreign partners. I would like to thank everyone who started the project and contributed to this project with their efforts. With love and always stay happy

 In the first month of September, we conducted research with our students within the scope of getting to know our own city, and we prepared a Kayseri brochure in order to improve our English writing skills.

 We asked how we can teach English more effectively apart from songs and games and we chose short, simple, understandable and familiar skits. Our students put on their clothes and tried to play. We also did a puppet show.

 Within the scope of our e twinning project, we played English word games to our students in order to make English fun. Sometimes in the gym, sometimes in the garden of the school. The true false activity as a round is like the fastest finding the truth game. We spent unforgettable hours.

 In December, we started the New Year's preparations with cards and worked on the merry christmas song. Thanks to the songs, the structures and words to teach become more permanent and are not forgotten, we also observed that all these learnings take place quickly.

 As part of the autumn activity, we learned, practiced and sang the song called Autumn with our students. It was a really fun activity to teach English in a fun way.

 We made a crown of dried tree leaves with our students in order to improve their hand skills and make our song presentation more colorful during the autumn season activities. Different designs and different thoughts made us and them happy

In order to improve our students' handicrafts and creative thinking skills, we prepared the Christmas cards ourselves. Only a few are presented here. All the cards are displayed on the school e twinning board.
